Romy Luba Resatsch was born on April 30, 2010, in Bamberg and is currently attending the 10th grade at the E.T.A. Hoffmann-Gymnasium arts high school in Bamberg.
In 2017 Romy began guitar lessons at the Bamberg Municipal School of Music with Robert Lampis, switching to the class of Rossini Hayward in 2022. Since 2021 she has also been taking electric bass lessons with Michael Schmidt at the E.T.A. Hoffmann-Gymnasium.
In 2022 Romy successfully passed the bronze examination at the music school, followed by the silver examination in 2023. 2024 was a particularly successful year for the young guitarist. She first prevailed in the internal Neupert Prize competition against strong competition, winning first prize. Just a few weeks later, at the national Jugend musiziert competition, she won first prize with the maximum score of 25 points in the solo guitar category (age group III) and another first prize with maximum points in the solo bass (pop) category. Thanks to this major success, Romy performed shortly afterwards at the national winners’ concert of Jugend musiziert in Lübeck, broadcast live on radio. She also appeared at the Bavarian national winners’ concert in Nuremberg, broadcast live by Bavarian radio. The successful year 2024 was crowned by a performance at the “Stars von Morgen” (Stars of Tomorrow) winners’ concert, where Romy performed as soloist (guitar) with the Hof Symphony Orchestra, playing the Adagio from Rodrigo’s famous Concierto de Aranjuez.
At the invitation of the Neues Palais e.V. association, in the summer of 2025 Romy gave her own solo recital as part of the Bamberg Guitar Days.
